Information About the Day

Let’s talk BUTTER TARTS and how you get your hands on some!

Getting to the Event:

As this event takes place in a residential community people are encouraged walk, cycle or take public transit to the event.  Buses 163, 61 and 62 stops at the Cardel Recreation Centre next to the event grounds.

> There is onsite parking with approximately 200 spaces. Please look out for the barricades in place to keep people safe. While the event is near the Cardel Recreation Centre, please be mindful of using their parking spaces as there will be scheduled programming happening in their facility.

Sales:

Sales will only start at 10 am sharp to ensure all bakers and vendors are ready and set for the day before sales begin.

Judging and Voting:

The judging for best traditional, best signature, and best traditional gluten-free will take place around 11:30 and will be announced once the scores are tallied.

People’s Choice Voting – where you get to have a say in your favourite butter tart! Everyone can vote for their ticket favorite butter tart by coming to see us at the voting tent/table. Remember the butter tart number of your favorite baker to write on your ticket.

There will be a variety of gluten free, celiac friendly, vegan, and nut free butter tarts available.
