Crowded Table Farm
Two families under one roof growing some of the tastiest organic veggies that Kinburn has to offer. 2021 will be our second season working our market garden, and we’ll be transitioning to a no-till system based on the best advice available from our mentors at the Canadian Organic Growers. We’re serious when we say responsible agriculture can heal more than just the land.
My name is Diane McLaurin. I am a retired Civil Servant, living in Carp. I have always loved baking and trying new recipes. For about thirty years I have made cookies, cakes, squares, cheesecakes and a variety of baked goods for my family and friends. Everyone has loved whatever I have made. About four years ago I started making goats milk soap. It makes your skin feel soft and smooth and does not dry it.
My desire to expand these hobbies into a business has been my focus for a few years. As a result, I have started Di’s Creations.

All about fresh, small batch ice cream treats. Making everything from ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream doughnuts and even ice cream sundae charcuterie boards.
Horizon Hog Farm
Horizon Hog Farm is a family owned and operated business located in the heart of South Glengarry.
Our main goal as a local pork producer is to provide our community with premium quality heritage pork that is pastured raised, free range, GMO-free as well as ethically and naturally raised. All of our meat is 100% antibiotic and hormone free. We take the best care possible for our animals.
At the farm, we raise and breed registered, purebred Lacombe pigs. Lacombe pigs are the only pig breed that are native to Canada. When HLC (Heritage Livestock Canada) approached us about breeding Lacombe’s we were right on board. We had the opportunity to help keep a part of Canadian agricultural heritage alive that was almost lost, but to also raise and provide great quality pork for our local communities while keeping it from a Canadian pig breed that everyone should be able to enjoy.
We are members of the Canadian Swine Breeders Association for our Lacombe pigs through the Canadian Livestock Records, we are also members of Heritage Livestock Canada, as well as Ontario Pork.
